With a heart full of profound and overwhelming sorrow, I share that Caitlyn passed away on the morning of June 3rd.
Caitie was full of life and fire, and fought until the very last moment when her body could no longer match the strength of her spirit. After almost 19 months from her initial diagnosis - and 8.5 months from her updated diagnosis of Stage 4 metastases - her treatments ultimately failed to slow the progression of her aggressive cancer. Caitlyn showed unbelievable strength and determination through it all: enduring radiations, surgeries, seven different chemotherapies, and additional alternative therapies. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, thank you again to everyone who has helped us along in this journey. From this point forward, the remainder of the donations are being used to resolve any remaining medical bills as they are processed through insurance, as well as handling final expenses. Beyond that, additional support will help give us time to grieve, and later will be placed into investment accounts for Ruth as she navigates growing up without the shining light that is her mother. Caitlyn will be so dearly missed. I will share her obituary in a future update once it is complete. -Michael For those that want to help -C-

Saw her shoes hanging at the gym today. Thanks for the info, anything to help her grieving family feel a little less alone.
