CLINT HULL
I am Clint Hull, the owner 2009 and a trainer since 2008.
I grew up south of Billings in Joliet, MT. I graduated from the U of M in 1999 and spent the next five years as a stockbroker for a Wall Street firm with a satellite office in Missoula.
It was the tragedy of 9-11 that drew me to enlist in the United States Navy. The Navy provided me with the opportunity to train with special operations forces from all around the globe. It was these terrorist hunters that introduced me to HIIT- style training. I opened Alternative Athletics in March of 2009 as the sole trainer, and the gym has been growing ever since.
My passion for functional fitness training has only grown in the last 15 years as I continue to develop my own fitness, and help those around me do the same. I find it remarkable that, at the age of 47, after 21 years of doing functional trining myself, I am still hitting PRs in my workouts and my lifts, hitting higher levels of strength and fitness.
My wife Katie, daughter Gwen, and I enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle. When we are not in the gym, we are rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, and backpacking every chance we get. My goal is to be a able to maintain this lifestyle through functional fitness for as long as possible. I don't enjoy working out, but I am terrified of becoming feeble.
