Alright y'all,

My problem isn't knowing what things that to be done.  It is that I am going so many directions at once that I never get anything finished.

So . . . what is your biggest gripe at the gym?  Tell me what you think needs to happen next / first and we will get it done with progress reports along the way.  Be direct and honest, I want to hear your thoughts.

Post comments in the chat on this web post, because I am not going to be looking in multiple places to find them.

Steve Blood plays the same crappy M n M music all the time. It is not family friendly like the Top Gun or Footloose soundtracks!

I would rather listen to nothing than the Top Gun Soundtrack. That isn’t a joke. I understand that people bring their children. I think that babysitting or someone who is specifically there to watch children watch them. My concern is more for their safety.

Music has always been a point of contention on all fronts. Like all forms of art there are differing opinions on what is "good" or "appropriate" or "motivational."

Probably going to be that way until the end of time.

As to children. We have put in new padded kids corner with baby gate in the back in the last two weeks. We have also installed two timer clocks as well so that those who want to can workout while keeping an eye on their kids.

I'm for the Breaking Benjamin "all the time" station!

Mainly I need to know what the "outcomes" are supposed to be. I'm an old dog learning new tricks and I don't always understand the 'WHY' we are doing something. Having explanations is helpful to me as to what a specific exercise is doing for me in terms of my goals.

Jason,

This video is in reference to a person who cannot get into the gym everyday, but it covers the methodology of our programming fairly well. This is our approach to general physical preparedness and taking advantage of the natural phenomena of supersedure. If you have specific goals, events or points of weakness it can be altered to fit your personal experience.

Can we turn the music up a little? It makes it harder for everyone to hear me scream when I try to do a pull up... :) But seriously, I like the music and I believe it motivates me to do a better work out, I just wish I could hear it.

Digs,

Since I am in the gym all day I rarely notice the music at all. Just let me or any of the trainers know that you could use the music turned up and we will take care of it right away.

Also feel free to download the SONOS app, I will help you login and then you can take control of the tunes from your phone anytime you are at the gym.

Love the new pull up bar as sometimes the others were getting crowded. Just wish it was taller ... . . . . . .

I love this gym! My ONE comment would be that *some* of us need a lot of encouragement from the trainers. Maybe we’re out of shape, maybe we have injuries, maybe we’re just not naturally athletic. It is awesome when they walk around and give pointers & support!

I mentioned it at the gym but thought I would throw it on here so that you have a paper trail. I'd like to see an additional day of strength training (weight ladder, Death By, etc) thrown in to the mix. It can be done on the week opposite of the max week.

Ryan,

That was a great idea of something we used to do that could be reinstated. Look forward to more ladders, death by,, x3 max, x5 max, 30 reps for time and other weightlifting modalities starting in February.

Sometimes it takes someone missing something before I realize that it has fallen out of the programming.
