We are going to do a winter hoodie this year. This is going to be a pre-order item, and you have to get your size in before black Friday (Nov 24th). We will have a sign up list on the message board in the bathroom. The above picture does show how dark this sweatshirt is, but it is actually a dark charcoal color. We are leaning towards having the gym KB on the front and having the back say "My Gym Sucks Worst Than Yours", "Safety Third" "Easy Day" "We Don't make Machines, We Unleash Them" OR just have "Alternative Athletics" down the sleeve." but if you think of another saying that you really want, please post it in the comments below. Weathers, 30, of DeRidder, Louisiana, died Sept. 30, 2014, at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.
Weathers was wounded Sept. 28 in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, when he heroically ran to a rooftop through hundreds of incoming rounds to repel an attack of insurgents who were attempting to overrun his position. His actions saved the lives of five U.S. Green Berets and nine Afghan Commandos at his location. Weathers was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Weathers is survived by his parents, Michael and Jere; sister, Carrie; brother, Dusten; and many other friends and family. We are looking at doing the first ever Alternative Athletics Winter Challenge, which will be a partners competition on February 11th, 2018. The three categories will be Male + Male, Female+Female and Male+Female. There will be no scaling for ability (beginner, intermediate, etc.) because all the events will be accessible to everyone. We will have a sign up sheet on the bathroom door. Just as before if we have the minimum number sign up from our gym, we will hold the event. If not, no big deal. The cost will be $100 per team with a minimum of 10 teams. We are going to open this up to the other gyms in the area as well. At least one event will be outside. -C- Warm Up:
